Today was the day we had both been waiting for! well maybe me more so than Forrest.
This was the day that I would see Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot in concert.
We started the day off with relaxing in the bean bag place in the campground and reading. We got hungry, so we grabbed some burek and headed to our little park with the seesaw. Forrest got this cornbread looking stuff that literally tasted like nothing. How does that happen?
We seesawed a little and took a LONG nap. Then it was time to head to the stages. We walked around before Missy’s show and went to the Battery Stage where they were playing “Hey Mickey.”
We danced like fools and decided to get an energy drink. After trying to use the token that Forrest had found on the ground (which ended up being the most expensive token worth 5 beers), we bought the best tasting energy drink I’ve had in my life. It’s called Battery.
Then we made our way through the crowd to get a good spot for Missy. This humongous guy decided to stand in the front and was literally blocking everything. We finally moved around him, met this hilarious guy that was in love with Missy, and got ready.
Missy’s dancers came out and built a little tower of boxes. Then she popped out and the crowd went CRAZYYYYY!!!!
She did “Get Your Freak On” first and came out in a little black Adidas sweatsuit. Missy was a lot chubbier than in the past and took lots of breaks :)
She also totally lip-synced the entire time, but she was SOOO entertaining. She had to do a wardrobe change after like 5 seconds and came out in a pink Adidas sweatsuit. Seriously the same thing just pink
Then she said “Now they said I couldn’t come out in the crowd, but…”
We flipped out and the people next to us went ahead and started parting, so she would walk right next to us. And she did. She sang work it and walked right by us, so naturally, we reached out and TOUCHED MISSY ELLIOT!!!
After the rest of her set, she signed three rhinestone studded shoes and threw them into the crowd. Sadly, we didn’t catch one :(
After having a blast at Missy, we went to see David Guetta in the dance arena. He was late of course and it was hot and we kept getting beer spilled all over us and were not too happy. Then he came on and was not that great and was super ugly.
But Frankie saved the night. We ran into Frankie, our friend from the bus, who was super excited to see us. He was hilarious.
Then we bought some crazy good lemonade and called it a night.
David Guetta
David Guetta sucked.
Yep. This is the sunrise when we got back to our tent from David Guetta.
